SUMIGRAN has been designing and supplying artificial grass in Spain since 2003. More than twenty years in a sector that has changed a lot: from a product that is little widespread in its origins, it has become present in gardens, terraces, swimming pools, schools, hotels, public spaces and an infinite number of constructive solutions.

Today we work with six warehouses in Madrid and more than 200,000 m ² of artificial grass in stock. But the figures don't tell everything. What defines us is that we know the product and recommend the lawn that each project needs, even if it is not the most expensive.

Our trajectory since 2003

What we do: design, choose and advise

SUMIGRAN does not make the lawn: it designs it. We participate in its creation by choosing fibres, colors and structures, and it is made in factories from different parts of the world. Then we store it in Madrid and advise the customer at every step, from the choice of the model to the installation.

This combination allows us to explain with knowledge why two similar cespedes can behave very differently.

Four bets that changed how the lawn is sold

No sands. For a long time it was common to tear the grass with sand. Since 2005 we have been marketing models that do not need it, which simplifies the installation to both professionals and individuals. It works in applications where product characteristics allow it, not all.

Economic grass for more people. For years artificial grass was an expensive product. Since 2006 we offer an economic range so that having a garden or a terrace with artificial grass does not depend on a large budget. Economic doesn't mean it's worth everything: the important thing is that the model fits with the use.

Multidirectional grass. The orientation of the fibers influences how the lawn looks. In certain models, a multi-directional structure achieves a more natural aspect from different angles, something that is seen in gardens that are looked at from several points.

4 m wide rolls. In Spain, it was, and still is, working with 2 m rolls. In 2012 we were the first to work also the width of 4 m for gardening and landscaping, and today our entire collection is available in the two widths. A 4 m roll covers large surfaces with half of joints, which gives a cleaner finish and a faster installation.

To offer this format is not just to have it in catalogue. We have built warehouses with 4 m roll shelves, we have cutting machines for that width and trucks and vans ready to transport it to the site.

Having available product can decide a project. With six warehouses in Madrid and more than 200,000 m ² of artificial grass in stock we attend from a private terrace to large landscaping surfaces, with a wide variety of models and capacity to react to adjusted time frames.

Large-scale projects: MADRING

SUMIGRAN has provided artificial grass for MADRING, the circuit of the Madrid Formula 1 Grand Prix: 20,000 m ² in August 2026. A supply of that volume requires planning, exact time and real stock, just what we have built.

One lawn for each use

The artificial grass is no longer just residential garden, and each application asks for different things:

Gardens and landscaping: Nature, softness and resistance.
Terrazas, balconies and attics: weight, drainage and ease of installation.
Pool and leisure areas: drainage and behavior of the fiber with frequent use.
Sports facilities: conditions of use and technical requirements of each installation.
Public and commercial areas: durability, availability and supply capacity.

To recommend well the composition of the fiber (polyethylene, polypropylene or other), the structure of the thread, the height, density and stitches, the backing, UV resistance and drainage. We do not always recommend the most expensive, but the most appropriate.
